Learning stays on your device
HANGEUL provides bundled Korean letter lessons, word and sentence practice, handwriting practice and continuous letter review. Learning records and your selected interface language are stored on your device. Handwriting strokes and your position in continuous review are kept only during the current practice session. The app has no user account or app-specific server. It does not upload handwriting, lesson progress or word-review marks.
Resetting and deleting records
Learning records stay in local app storage until that data is removed. A confirmed learning-record reset clears letter, lesson and word-review records while keeping your selected language. Handwriting and continuous-review state end with their practice sessions. On Android, you can clear app storage in system settings. Deleting the app removes its local data. Offloading an iOS app is different: it preserves documents and data. Device backup or restore services may keep or restore a copy according to the device owner’s settings. HANGEUL has no user accounts and does not keep server-side copies of these learning records.
Children and caregivers
HANGEUL is for beginning Hangul learners, including preschool children learning with a parent or caregiver. The interface is available in Korean, English and Japanese.
Voice and handwriting practice
The app does not record your microphone, evaluate speech or handwriting, or send learner input to an AI service. Korean audio was generated with Gemini TTS before installation and is bundled in the app for offline playback.
Advertising and other services
Advertising is disabled in this preview. The app does not prepare advertising consent or request advertisements. Google Mobile Ads and UMP remain dependencies in the build. The app has no configured analytics, remote crash reporting, in-app purchases or advertising mediation.
When you contact us
Contacting support opens your email app, or copies the email address if no email app is available. No message is sent automatically, and the app does not attach learning records automatically. Taewon Seo personally reads and responds to support and privacy inquiries at hello@hailmary-studio.com using Apple iCloud Mail. Inquiry email may include your sender address and display name, subject, message, attachments you choose to send and transmission information. Apple iCloud Mail processes this email under Apple’s privacy policy. Operator-controlled inquiry emails, attachments and separately downloaded copies are deleted within one year after the inquiry is resolved. Verified requests to delete personal information are processed. Deletion from provider-managed backups is not promised to occur immediately.
Operator and privacy requests
HANGEUL is operated by 헤일메리(HAIL MARY), based in the Republic of Korea, under the Hail Mary Studio brand. Send privacy inquiries or requests to hello@hailmary-studio.com. The operator cannot erase copies controlled independently by an email provider or a device backup service.
